The Hurt Locker

Its a story about the new guy in an EOD ( Explosive Ordnance Disposal)  unit, at first he acts thike hes indestructable and gets in some trouble for being too big of risks. Then the team gets used to him and he is tested in a way that traumatises him, and he begins looking for the man who planted that peticular bomb. All in all it show some of the more grotesk aspects of war and the effect it has on people.

I think the goal of this filma was to show the strength of people who are fighting in the war and what some go through everyday. and really show that it isn't at all fun and games.
It isn't really much like slaughterhouse five but the main cahactter is quite disfunctional and hides from all the stress he is put through by drinking and acting super cocky, and in slaughterhouse five the main character is pritty disfunctional and  escapes what is happening by traveling through time.
I don't think Mary would like this film mostly because of how grotesque it is but I think she whould be proud of the fact that it doesn't encourage war really it show how nasty things can get.

heroism

I comes in many forms and many go over looked or unnoticed most people like to think of themselves as a form of hero or at least like to relate themselves to the hero. But i think the reason most heroism goes unnoticed is because if your not the hero or if you aren't on the same side as the hero you could see the act of heroism as an act of vandilism or possibly just annoyance. Just because we don't agree with the reason doesn't mean they aren't a hero of some sorts. What if  a single father became homeless and had to steal food for is children to eat, if he were to be arrested the cops wouldn't give two shits why he stole they would arrest him and maybe even lock him up, but to his children he was a true hero. Maybe i'm just rambling but take it how you will.

True Teamwork

I'd have to say the most significant time I've been in a team would have been defencive football. Every person has their own job and if that job isn't done then there will be a hole and the man with the ball can get through. each and every person has to trust that the other will do their job and do theirs even if it takes them away from were the ball is currently going. the linemen are the unsung heros of teamwork cause they have to do their job, mostly without any showy results, in order to allow the other players to make the tackle or to make the play.

tough love

i'm not sure what to post so i'll just ask this:
do you think its better to prepare your children for how bad the world can be by giving them tough love or to just be as loving and caring as you possibly can in order to make them a happy person or in hope that they will have a happy life?

i hate blogging

to type my feeling of thoughts into a computer for other people to discuss feel very strange for some reason to me. i am no social butterfly but i much prefer talking in person i'm avery visual learner and i like to be able to see people's facial expressions and express my own, also i have a strange sence of humor that is hard to understand in a typed format. but since it is required i eill do my best not to bore everyone if anyone even reads this ok i'm done complaining.
