Cool connection, Cody (and how's that for alliteration?). I like Blur, but I wasn't familiar with this song. Some of the lyrics resonate well with Gregor's existence.
ReplyDeleteI think one line in particular connects with gregor: "I got no sense of existence." This correlates with Gregor because he is slowly dehumanized throughout the Metamorphosis, and he loses everything that used to be part of his life, including his family. He loses all purpose, and when his family admits they want him gone, he literally wills himself to cease to exist, and he dies. This song relates well.
